What's included in a single flight simulation session?

A session is 60 minutes at the controls for 1,300 THB, with a short briefing before you start and a debrief after. You’ll be shown how the joystick, throttle and main instruments work, then talked through a takeoff, some straightforward flying, and a landing to finish. Staff stay on hand throughout.

What equipment and software do you use?

Our flight simulator is a fixed-base setup built from professional and enthusiast-grade components: a MOZA joystick, a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog throttle and stick system, and an F5 simulation seat, with VR available if you want full 360° immersion. It runs Microsoft Flight Simulator, so you get real flight physics, working instruments and accurate global scenery.

What aircraft can I fly?

You can fly a wide range of aircraft available in Microsoft Flight Simulator, from small general aviation planes to large commercial jets. All aircraft feature realistic flight physics, fully functional instruments and immersive cockpit controls — whether you’re taking off, landing, or exploring scenic routes, including flying into Phuket itself.

Can beginners use the flight simulator?

Yes — most people who book have never flown a simulator before. You will be shown how the joystick, throttle and main instruments work before you start, then talked through a takeoff, some straightforward flying, and a landing to finish. Nothing is assumed and there is no test at the end.

Question 5

Do you provide VR?

Accepted Answer

Yes. VR is available for flight sessions and gives you a full 360° view — you can look around the cockpit and out at the scenery the way you would in a real aircraft. If you would rather use the screen, that works just as well, and some people find it easier for a first session. You can switch part-way through if you change your mind.

Who runs the flight sessions?

Guided flight sessions are run by the SIMPRO team, following a programme designed by Paul Chappell — a professional airline pilot for more than 23 years, including a Lead Captain position on a Boeing Business Jet where he managed flight training and checking responsibilities. Paul personally takes the one-to-one coaching sessions, which are 2,000 THB per hour and available for both flight and race simulation.

Can you really learn to fly with a flight simulator?

Accepted Answer

Partly, and it is worth being precise about which parts. A simulator is genuinely good for learning procedures, instrument scanning, navigation, radio work and the habits that make a good pilot — which is exactly why airlines use them. What it cannot teach is the physical feel of a real aircraft, and time here does not count toward a licence. Plenty of student pilots use simulator time between real lessons to arrive better prepared.

Can I use a session package for flight simulation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A package is 6, 10 or 20 standard 60-minute sessions, and you can use them on the flight simulator, the racing simulator, or a mix of both. Six sessions are 6,950 THB, ten are 10,950 THB and twenty are 21,500 THB.
