SIMPRO Academy began with a simple idea: give people in Phuket access to genuine, professional-grade simulation — not an arcade machine, but the same kind of equipment and coaching used to develop real driving and flying skill. We are based inside Soho Pool Club at Boat Lagoon Marina in Koh Kaew, which means a session with us sits alongside a pool, a kitchen, and a sports lounge — you can race in the morning and stay for the afternoon.
We focus on two disciplines. On the racing side, you drive on professional rigs running iRacing, with full telemetry so every lap is measurable. On the aviation side, you take the controls of a flight simulator built around real-world flight physics. Both are beginner-friendly and both are led, not left to chance — someone is always there to get you up to speed.
Since launching we have coached 50+ drivers and pilots, from complete first-timers to enthusiasts chasing lap times. What keeps people coming back is not just the hardware. It is the community — race nights, friendly competition, and a place where getting better is the point.
SIMPRO Academy is owned and run by Paul Chappell, who also operate Soho Pool Club at Boat Lagoon Marina.
Paul is a former airline pilot with more than 25 years of experience, and he leads the flight simulation side personally.
The procedures taught in a flight session are the ones he flew commercially, not approximations built from a game.
That background shaped how the academy was equipped. The rigs were chosen for fidelity rather than spectacle — professional-grade hardware that behaves the way the real thing does, even where that makes it less immediately impressive.
It also shapes how sessions run. Beginners get a proper briefing rather than being dropped into a menu, and anyone who wants to go deeper can book coaching directly with Paul.
You will find SIMPRO inside Soho Pool Club at Boat Lagoon Marina, Koh Kaew — a short drive from Phuket Town and the airport road. Sessions run by appointment, seven days a week.
